Kids' design competition

13th May 2020

Looking for a cool present to give your Dad this Father’s Day? You could win a limited edition Silverstone print by entering our kids’ design competition.

Open to all budding artists aged 16 and under, we want motorsport fans to design a programme cover for the 2030 British Grand Prix. Think about what racing cars might look like in 10 years’ time and draw a picture that shows us the speed and excitement of Formula 1.

The Silverstone Experience is home to the archive of the British Racing Drivers’ Club, which includes race programme covers from across the years. They show how graphic design has changed, as well as the cars themselves. On our website you can find a story with examples of programme covers from our archive to help with your own design.

Your design should be A4 size and include the words: 2030 British Grand Prix. Ask an adult to take a picture of your artwork, tag us and share it on one of our social media channels with your first name and age, by midnight on 31 May 2020. The entries will be judged by motorsport artist David Johnson, who will be considering the overall idea and impression of speed. One winner will receive a limited edition print of Lewis Hamilton racing to victory in the 2019 British Grand Prix, and a family ticket to The Silverstone Experience.
