75th Anniversary Exhibition

Our spectacular NEW exhibition celebrates 75 years of the FIA Formula 1® Driver's World Championship, marking a major milestone in motorsport history.

The exclusive exhibition – a first-of-its-kind for the museum – features an extraordinary line-up of iconic cars*, driven by legendary drivers. The anniversary exhibition features over 60 exhibits including historic cars, race-worn suits, original trophies, and rare artefacts, offering an unparalleled journey through every decade of Formula 1®. Visitors can expect to see an extraordinary mix of classic and contemporary racing machines, from the legendary Lotus 72 to the 2019 Lando McLaren.

Running until the end of September 2025, this special showcase offers visitors an immersive and historic motorsport experience.

*Please note that some of our cars will be on track or on display elsewhere during the Silverstone Festival period.

The Ultimate Sim Suite Adventure

Immerse yourself in the thrill of racing in our Sim Suite, a state-of-the-art simulator arena driven by cutting-edge technology. Take the wheel and navigate the renowned Silverstone circuit in a dynamic 30-minute session. Make sure to secure your session by booking in advance* - you should have received an email from Silverstone Circuit with a link to do this as a Silverstone Festival ticket holder!

*Please note, a Sim Suite booking made between Friday 22nd - Sunday 24th August 2025 requires you to have a valid ticket to the 2025 Silverstone Festival.

Visit our on-site Café

Our Refuel Café offers a range of hot and cold food items provided by our catering partner Graysons, and offers a relaxing spot for you to unwind and enjoy a quick snack or long lunch before continuing your exploration of the Museum.

Our Café will be open 9am - 5pm on Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd August and Sunday 24th August 2025.

Scalextric and Top Trumps

The Silverstone Formula 1 Circuit has been recreated by Scalextric for an exhibit which enables visitors to enjoy epic battles with iconic cars around the two lane Grand Prix circuit. Each race uses special technology to track individual lap times, meaning you can race head-to-head or set a personal best! While admission is complimentary, we appreciate any donations towards our education workshops and outreach initiatives.

FAQ's

During the Silverstone Festival Silverstone Museum is open exclusively to event ticket holders with a valid ticket for that day. For example, if you have a Friday event ticket, you’ll be able to access the museum on Friday only. If you hold a 3-day ticket, you’re welcome to visit us on all three days.

We won’t be releasing timed entry slots for the weekend—instead, we’ll be operating a queue system for all event ticket holders. Our team will be on hand to welcome guests and manage entry so that everyone can enjoy the museum safely and as smoothly as possible.

Last entry to the museum will be 5pm every day over the weekend.

The queue will be at the rear entrance of museum. If you require use of our Disabled Toilet / Changing Places facility, please make yourself known to a member of our team before joining the queue.

Our Sims Suite will have an exclusive entrance for the Silverstone Festival, at the track side rear entrance. A member of our staff will be able to direct you.

No - we have a separate entrance for Sim Suite bookings so please arrive 10 minutes before your pre booked time and make a member of our staff aware. Due to capacity limits any missed slots will be non refundable and are not re bookable.

Please note, a Sim Suite booking does not allow you access to the Silverstone Festival event - this will require a separate ticket booked through Silverstone Circuit.

Yes! Our Café will be open 9am - 5pm on Friday 22nd,Saturday 23rd August and Sunday 24th August 2025. Please note even if you want to just enter the Café you will still need to join our queue.

Yes! Please note you will need to join the queue even if you just want to visit our gift shop or café.

While admission is complimentary, we appreciate any donations towards our education workshops and outreach initiatives.

To ensure we can get all our visitors in as smoothly and quickly as possible, our ‘Starting Grid’ and ‘The Ultimate Lap’ will not be running over Silverstone Festival.
