Silverstone Museum Research Forum: 75 Years of Formula 1

Silverstone Museum will host a special Research Forum on Saturday 18th October 2025 as part of the celebrations marking 75 years of the FIA Formula 1 Drivers’ World Championship. Supported by the British Society of Sport History (BSSH), the Forum will bring together leading academics to present on a wide range of topics connected to the history, culture, and global impact of Formula 1.
Coinciding with Silverstone’s role as the host of the very first World Championship Grand Prix in 1950, the Research Forum offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the sport from new perspectives, extending beyond the track to its cultural, social, and technological significance.
