Silverstone Museum is delighted to announce the return of its inspiring #GirlsWill campaign for 2026, continuing its mission to encourage the next generation of girls and young women to explore opportunities within motorsport and STEM.
The #GirlsWill campaign was created to inspire young women to study Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects and consider the wide range of exciting careers available within the motorsport industry. Through events, workshops, panels and educational activities, the initiative highlights the many different pathways into motorsport, from engineering and mechanics to media, marketing, design and race strategy.
Motorsport is a fast-paced and diverse industry with roles both on and off the track. From drivers, mechanics and race strategists to journalists, photographers, designers and more, #GirlsWill aims to show that there truly is a place for everyone in the world of racing. By sharing the stories and experiences of inspiring women across the sector, the campaign helps demonstrate that the future of motorsport can, and should, be more inclusive.
Back by popular demand for 2026 is the Girls Go Free initiative. Throughout the campaign, girls under the age of 16 can enjoy free entry to Silverstone Museum when accompanied by a full paying visitor, making it the perfect opportunity for families to experience the history, technology and excitement of British motor racing together.
Visitors can explore the Museum’s immersive exhibits, discover the science behind speed and innovation, and learn about the people who have shaped the world of motorsport, all while celebrating the growing role of women within the industry.
The return of #GirlsWill reinforces Silverstone Museum’s commitment to inspiring young people and supporting greater diversity in motorsport. By opening doors, sharing knowledge and celebrating role models, the campaign hopes to encourage more girls to see a future for themselves within this exciting industry.
