Black Cats & Chequered Flags has landed at Silverstone Museum for its UK premiere!
The Extended Reality experience created and produced by MIAT, explores the life of Alberto Ascari like never before seen. Through the experience, visitors don his legendary blue helmet, gloves, and goggles, step into a collaborative 1950s pit stop, and race alongside Ascari on the Monza circuit, immersed in archival audio, 360° cinematography, and authentic period sound.
Alberto Ascari is one of the first icons of Silverstone Circuit. A competitor in 1948 in the RAC British Grand Prix, commonly known as the first British Grand Prix in the modern era. Driving under the number 11 in a Maserati, Ascari was a late edition to the grid assuming the space left by Giuseppe Farina.
Ascari followed this with entrances to races at Silverstone from that year on until his death in 1955. A race winner the following year in the 1949 International Trophy, followed by 2 wins in his 2 championship winning seasons in Formula 1 - plus 3 fastest race laps.
This unique XR Experience takes you through the early days of Formula 1 racing, and is one not to be missed by F1 and motorsport fans.
