About the Event
Online spaces have become a key part of how fans experience motorsport, but they don’t always feel welcoming to everyone.
In this conversation for Silverstone Museum’s #GirlsWill programme, Kimberley Wyllie will explore her research into the online abuse experienced by female motorsport fans, and how this can shape the way they engage with both the sport and its digital communities.
Funded by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and the United Against Online Abuse Coalition, the research aims to drive meaningful, real-world change, helping to create a more inclusive environment for all motorsport fans.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak directly with Kimberley, ask questions about her findings, and explore how the media landscape and online fan communities are continuing to evolve.
