Education Outreach Officer

We're Silverstone Museum, located right at the entrance to the world-famous Silverstone Circuit, and right now we’re looking to find an enthusiastic and motivated Education Outreach Officer to help lead our Education Outreach programme across the UK.

Silverstone Education 26Th JAN 24 151

About The Role

Join the Learning & Engagement team at Silverstone Museum to lead and deliver a dynamic programme of education and outreach activities designed to inspire the next generation in STEM, using the excitement of motorsport and the legacy of Silverstone as key motivators. This role plays a vital part in empowering students, especially those from diverse and underserved communities by enhancing their knowledge, building confidence in their potential, and helping them overcome barriers to success. Through engaging sessions delivered to students from KS1 to KS5, the education programme opens pathways into STEM careers and broadens young people’s access to future opportunities.

This is a full time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week (5 days out of 7). There will be the requirement to support some weekends, evenings and some Bank Holidays. There will be a requirement to support at large events, for example the Formula One British Grand Prix.

The post is based at the Silverstone Museum site; however the role involves time at other education settings delivering sessions, this may require time staying away from home. It is envisaged that this is a national outreach project, therefore UK travel will be required with this role.

The post holder will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
